Arise Family

Arise works to strengthen families and support children in at-risk situations by providing psychosocial programmes, counselling, and training. We believe that every child deserves to grow up in a safe, loving, and thriving family.

Our work focuses on family preservation, trauma-informed care, and resilience-building, particularly in marginalised communities in South Africa. We support children facing behavioural challenges—often linked to complex trauma, poverty, and systemic failures—through structured interventions that promote emotional well-being, positive identity formation, and social connection.

Our parenting programmes equip caregivers with the skills to foster secure attachments and break cycles of violence. Arise also plays a key role in adoption support, offering workshops and resources for adoptive families. We engage in advocacy and training to create safer environments for children, working with churches, schools, and organisations to implement best practices in child protection.

Through holistic, strength-based interventions, we aim to empower children and families to overcome adversity and build brighter futures.‍
