Ilifa Labantwana is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to building a South Africa where every child has access to quality early childhood development (ECD) services, and women can sustain livelihoods within a thriving care economy.
We combine technical expertise, a deep understanding of government systems, and evidence-based approaches with collaboration and advocacy to strengthen the ECD ecosystem. This enables the delivery of essential services and care to children while empowering women in the care sector.
Practically, we provide technical support and evidence-based guidance to government, funders, and ECD organisations, focusing on policy, advocacy, programme design, and service delivery planning and resourcing.
