SmartStart is committed to ensuring all children have the foundational skills needed to succeed while creating employment opportunities, fostering social enterprises, and stimulating economic growth in under-resourced communities.
To address South Africa’s early learning access gap, SmartStart uses an innovative social franchise model, working with implementing partners to deliver quality early learning at scale. Currently, SmartStart has 12,105 active practitioners supporting 117,378 children in its programmes. Since its inception, SmartStart has reached 20,522 franchisees and impacted 259,288 children, driving meaningful change for communities across the country.
