Basic Education Rights Handbook 2022

SECTION27, in partnership with key organisations like Equal Education Law Centre, Equal Education, The Centre for Child Law, The Legal Resources Centre, and the International Commission of Jurists, launched the second edition of the Basic Education Rights Handbook in 2022.

This  handbook is a vital legal literacy tool aimed at empowering communities, school governing bodies, principals, teachers, and learners. It helps users:

• Understand education law and policy.
• Recognise when learners’ rights have been violated.
• Take the necessary steps to protect these rights.
